Zoning Procedures
The Land Use Ordinance was created and designed to:
- Guide the future growth and development of the Town Cheswold in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan
- Promote the health, safety, morals, and general welfare of the community
- Secure safety from fire, panic and other dangers
- Provide adequate light and air
- Facilitate the adequate provision of transportation, water, sewerage, schools, parks and other public requirements
- Conserve the value of land and buildings
- Encourage the most appropriate uses of land
